Cruise Holidays - Hiring Selling Superstars

The Challenge: 
Cruise Holidays is the largest cruise-only travel franchise in North America. Denis Lim had owned and operated the franchise for twelve years. Blaine Lambert was so impressed by the business and selling success of Denis he became co-owner in 2001. 

In light of growing demand for their spectacular excursions, they needed to expand. Not only physically, by buying and renovating 6,800 square feet of space in the exclusive district of Kerrisdale, they needed to aggressively add to their sales team. TheRevenueBuilder® was called in to help.

Mandate No. 1: To hire five (5) additional inside sales representatives who must each generate over $1,000,000 a year.
 
Mandate No. 2: To develop a “Recruiting Selling Superstars System” that they could replicate for years to come. 

Deadline: Within 6 weeks.
 
The Solution:
A 60-page document outlining the customized 17-Step recruiting process designed and executed within three weeks. The speed of the project was accelerated by the dedication of their Sales Manager, Sharl Cline who worked diligently to co-develop the tools required for success. Twenty-eight tools were developed, right down to the copy used in the web postings and newspaper advertising, the Hiring Criteria Acceptance Scorecard, the Cruise Specialist Job Description and the Group Interview Questions, to name a few. 
 
Assessments, or “profiling tools” as they are sometimes referred to, were implemented as part of the process. After researching the success of assessments with the second largest franchisee in North America, benchmarks were established.

The Results:
