Welcome to ACE - The Active Civic Employees Network!  

This webpage was developed through the Local Government Employees Health Promotion Project, a partnership between 2010 LegaciesNow and the Union of BC Municipalities.  It provides a forum for the sharing of resources, best practices, issues and ideas among those responsible for, or interested in, local government employee health promotion.

In order to log onto the site to view the topics and discussion areas, click on the "Become a Member" tab on the left.

  Overview Participants Discussion Topics

Welcome to ACE  - The Active Civic Employees Network!  

Here is a brief description of the tools available to us:

  • Click on Participants to see the profiles of all of the participants in the network, and on a participant's name (to the left) to see their specific profile.
     
  • Click on Topics to see what areas of interest are represented on this webpage.  Once you are logged in, you can click on Manage Topics to add any topics of interest to your "Favourite Topics" list on the Control Panel on the left.  Just click on the "Add" box for those topics and then on the "Save Topics" box, located below the Topics list.  
     
  • To have a new topic area added, please e-mail Kate Lekas, at kate.lekas@vancouver.ca.
     

  • Once you are in the topic you are interested in, then click on Links/Resources to view, upload and share files and links.  You have the option of automatically notifying participants in that topic of your additions by e-mail.

  • Click on Discussion within any topic to participate in threaded discussions with other members interested in that topic.  Participants can decide whether or not they want to receive an e-mailed copy of each posting as it is put up. (Note: Before you can post a message or create a thread, you need to log in.  To join the discussion on a specific topic, please visit the discussion area of that topic.)
